The above-mentioned services are technology services that helps us better understand our users' experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what features users use the most, what features are underutilized, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Heap is used primarily for in-app (https://app.polly.ai/) performance and analytics monitoring, Google Analytics is used primarily for the website (https://polly.ai/), and Intercom is used for a mixture of both in-app and website usage.
Intercom is used to track visits made to the Polly's website and actions taken within the app (e.g. poll created, survey created, etc.) and associates those with existing contact records in Intercom, which includes the IP address of Polly's user base. Since these activities are tied to a contact in Intercom, it is considered personal data. Intercom does not track individual users on the website that is not already a Polly customer. We use this information for our marketing and sales processes in order to give our users a better, and more personalized experience.
You can opt out by visiting your dashboard, clicking on your account drop-down, and clicking on Settings. There, you can tick or untick any of your performance and analytics monitoring settings.
