A quick intro to showcasing your brand logo or colors in presentations
We're thrilled to announce the launch of Themes for your Polly presentations! Polly now empowers you to fully customize your Google Slides, PowerPoint, and web-based presentations with your unique brand logos and colors.
This new feature means your interactive polls, Q&As, Word Clouds and everything else will now seamlessly integrate with your company's visual identity. Say goodbye to generic presentations and hello to a polished, on-brand experience every time you engage your audience.
How to get started with Polly Themes
- Head on over to your Polly web dashboard and click on Themes in the left hand navigation menu
- On the Themes page, you have a number of different options available to you now including:
- Adding a custom logo
- Selecting a single color or colorways (gradient) option from our themes templates
- Creating your own theme with custom colors

- You can use the live preview to see exactly what your selected theme will look like, you can even choose from different question types in the preview to know what the view will look like for each one

Adding a logo/badge to your presentations
You can now add a custom logo or badge to your presentations, this can be a GIF, PNG, JPG or SVG. It needs be under 2 MB and must have a transparent background. You can even add animated logos!
- On the Polly Themes page, under Logo click on the Upload button.
- Your uploaded logo will appear in the live preview and you can switch between different question types to see what these look like
- If you want to change the logo/badge, just click on Update image and choose a new one. If you want to remove it, click on the X on the top right corner of the image.
- When you are ready, just click on the blue Apply button.
💡 Tip: Use the Clone button to make a duplicate of the theme when you want multiple variations with slight changes, this saves you the hassle of having to create a theme each time from scratch.
Choose a theme from our pre-loaded options
We have a number of themes pre-loaded - ready to use. You can go for one of the Single Color options or opt for one from the Colorways (gradient) selection. Clicking on any of the options will instantly refresh the live preview so you can see exactly what your polly would look like if you were to apply this theme. When you have finalized a theme, click on the blue Apply button to make it live.
Creating a custom theme
If you want to create a custom theme with your own brand colors, you now have the option to do that too!
- On the Polly Themes page, under My Themes click on the New Theme button.
- This takes you to the custom theme creation page, where you have the following settings available:
- Theme name: since you can create multiple themes, give each one a unique name for easy filtering.
- Bar chart colors: you have two options to customize bar chart colors
- Primary color: this is the color of the bar that has the highest number of votes
- Secondary color: this will be the color of all the rest of the bars other than the primary color bar
- Background overlay: an option feature which allows you to add a semi-transparent white overlay on your bar chart pollys, this can help with readability if your selected bar colors clash with the background color.
- Background: there are two options available for customizing the presentation background:
- Custom color: you can use the color palette to select a custom solid color. There are pre-set options to choose from or you can use the color slides or even put in your own color hex codes.
- Image: you also have the option to upload a background image, this can be a GIF, PNG, JPG or SVG. It needs be under 3 MB and yes just like logos/badges you can add animated GIFs too!
- Note that you can always switch between background color and image, we will save a copy of your image even if you switch to a solid color background so that if you do decide to revert to an image in the future, you won't have to upload it again (unless you want a different one). When you are ready, click on the blue Update button to apply the changes.
✏️ Note: The custom bar colors don't apply to NPS or Rating type pollys, this to maintain a seamless experience for your audience thus colors are pre-defined and not changeable.
How to Edit/Delete a theme
- Editing: on the themes page, click on the edit icon on the top right corner of your custom theme, this will take you to the editing screen where you can change all of the previously published settings.
- Deleting: if you want to delete a custom theme, just select the theme and click on the red Delete button under the live preview window. Note that this is a permanent action and once deleted, your theme cannot be recovered.
