Where do Polly reminders go in Slack?
Where a reminder goes depends on the type of polly, not on the reminder settings. Single-question pollys get their reminder in the place they were first shared. Surveys always send reminders by DM.

Single-question pollys
Shared in a channel: the reminder is posted in that channel. Everyone in the channel can see it, including people who already responded.
Shared by DM: only people who haven't responded get the reminder, in their DM.
Surveys
Survey reminders always go by DM to the people who haven't responded, even when the survey was posted in a channel.
Nothing is posted in the channel when a survey reminder is sent, so people who already responded don't see it.
Sending reminders
Manual and auto reminders follow the same delivery rules above.

/polly remind, pick the polly from the drop-down, and click Send Reminder. - Auto: set a reminder frequency when you create a polly in the web app. See Creating Pollys through the Web Dashboard.
FAQ
The reminder says it goes to people who haven't responded. Why did my whole channel see it? For a single-question polly shared in a channel, the reminder is posted in the channel, so everyone sees it. Only DM reminders are limited to people who haven't responded.
Why did a reminder for my channel survey arrive as a DM? Survey reminders are always sent by DM to people who haven't responded, whatever channel the survey was posted in.
I got a reminder for a polly I already answered. The sender probably edited or re-sent the polly. See Editing a published Polly.
When can reminders be sent? Reminders only send before the polly's close time, and a closed polly that is reopened counts reminders from the reopen time. Full rules are in Viewing Results, Delete, Reminders, Close and Share pollys.
